APRIL 29, 2010 - Settling the Workers' Compensation Claim: Why, When and for How Much? Comparing & Contrasting the States of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania
April 29, 2010
8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Workers’ compensation claims generally fall into three categories:  1) claims to fight; 2) claims to pay the weekly benefits and 3) claims to settle.  It is critically important to distinguish between the three and to know when it benefits you, the employer, to settle a claim rather than continue to pay.

This Workshop will help you understand what can be settled (wage loss, medical benefits or both), and when it can be settled so that you can limit your future financial exposure for the claim.  It will also address the thorny issues of Medicare set asidesconcurrent resignations and child support.

Our panelists will be lawyers from each of the following five states:  Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.  You will learn how the laws of these states differ when it comes to settling Workers’ Compensation claims.

This Workshop Date is at full capacity.   Please RSVP for the second date added for the seminar on May 6, 2010.  TO RSVP FOR THE MAY 6th date, please CLICK HERE.
