Since 2006, Alan has dealt extensively with all aspects of loss prevention in general industry, healthcare, and transportation including Safety Management, Fleet Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Property Fire Protection, Accident Investigation, Regulatory Compliance, and Exposure Analysis.
Alan joined The Graham Company in February, 2013 to assume the role of General Industry Safety Consultant. In this role, Alan provides safety consultation services to clients in the manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, real estate, hospitality, professional services, general services, and transportation industries. Alan’s strong background in Workers Compensation, Fleet Management, and Property Fire Protection is utilized to assist The Graham Company’s clients with their ongoing loss prevention efforts.
Prior to coming to The Graham Company as a Safety Consultant, Alan worked for Chubb Group as a Risk Control Engineer and provided safety consultation to clients in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Prior to working for the Chubb Group, Alan worked for Liberty Mutual as a Loss Prevention Consultant. Alan began his career with Liberty Mutual outside of Philadelphia. He later took a promotion within Liberty Mutual to Pittsburgh and handled large accounts in Western & Central Pennsylvania.
Alan graduated from Penn State University in 2005 with a B.S. in Industrial Health & Safety. Alan has attained the following professional designations: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Director of Safety (CDS) – fleet designation, Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP), and Associate in Risk Management (ARM). In addition, Alan continues to hold his HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) certification since 2005. Alan is a “subject matter expert” in Industrial Hygiene and Commercial Auto and is fluent in English and Spanish.
Alan is a current member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI). Alan served as a Staff Sergeant of the U.S. Army Reserves from 2002 through 2011. Alan was a member of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) in 2003-2004, where he received The Army Commendation Medal and The Army Achievement Medal.
